To contextualize some of the existence of Edelweiss, Shreen and Eleara: Sele is a cosmic entity that likes to feed on the knowledge of each universe, so it is usually divided into different creatures that descend to the respective worlds to absorb everything possible from these. Not an evil entity, but a very hungry one.

Shereen is a cosmic creature who comes from Sele that descended to Teyvat during the rule of the sovereigns and died in the war of archons. She was reborn after the cataclysm and currently live in fontaine and works as leader of the investigation division of the marechaussee phantom while maintaining a secret relationship with Neuvillette due to the behavior of the people of Fontaine.

Eleara is a cosmic creature who comes from Sele, born as a vidyadara. She grew up in Xianzou but in search of a more emotional life decided to join the anonymous in the astral express. On his journey he would finally find his true nature and develop feelings for Dan Heng in the process.
